I hope they got disqualified!!!!!!!!!!!!And, ur rite, it doesn't make sense cuz they could easily do the same thing w/ a field guide....

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
For most of my snakes, I've used the Lone Star Snakes of North America, Eastern and Central Regions guide. It is an excellent resource.
As for that "no binders" story, I would regard that just as a rumor unless we have some pretty concrete proof that it's true. It would seem to me that they just wanted to make the event more difficult this year. Ultimately, just deal with it. You have to learn the stuff better so you don't have to rely on your field guide.
I was wondering, since there are very few practice tests available on the internet, if anyone would be interested in starting a herpetology practice test swap. If enough people are interested, we could get a good supply of practice tests circulating around. If you're interested, you can PM me with your email address and I'll get a list set up. I think we need to do it via email because I can't think of any way to set up attachments on Scioly. I think this could be really helpful for everyone. I hope people like this idea!

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
Sounds like an excellent idea. Especially since I have like a bank of 10 tests from this year/last year.

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
I don't know if someone can scan them, scichic34, but you could do that, and we can all make new tests too. That would be what I'm doing.

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
1.) get id's down
your not allowed to make a binder, so take 2 field guides + put the information of one in the other and then take as many notes as possible.
The test idea sound really cool

Re: Amphibians and Reptiles
I'm in Division C (technichally my event is Herpetology) so if I understand correctly then u can have either a binder or a field guide, no? I might actually be able 2 make a binder neway do the guides have everything on the list or r they missing a few things? That may sound like a dumb question but 4 fossils the guides definetly didn't have everything so I just want 2 know
