It's said that psychopaths are very good at appearing friendly. At least, he thought so. He wanted me to make breakfast for him.

I obliged.

I made him waffles. Great waffles. But as he began to eat, I knocked his chair to the floor and punched him repeatedly in the face, and he fell back, at the edge of consciousness. He was only slightly aware that I took an airtight bottle out of my pocket, and jammed the small sample of sodium into his mouth, which I duct taped closed.
The scene of IdahoSciGuy's murder was extremely disgusting. But from amidst the carnage, they were able to pull my next clue:

Hard clue. This merits 48 hours.

Hmm the sassy has finally gotten wise. Targeting people outside the game + hard clues + time limits = the flaws of the whole lose an accusation needed to win with every kill thing

Want to explain to me how a "hard clue" merits 48 hours when in previous games, any clue merited 72 hours? And on top of that, we don't even have an extra officer anymore, and we had only one extra to begin with.

And if that clue targeting gneissisnice was that hard and didn't merit extra time, want to explain how this clue could even be solvable?

And how is it you are sure that quizbowl's thought progression was the one needed to solve the clue? Maybe I intended something different? Hmm?

Alright sassy, this is ridiculous. That clue with gneiss was ridiculous, this clue is ridiculous- not Morse, I checked- and we get less time than we ever had for past games.

touche. In my opinion, the method of choosing officers was ridiculous as well. we are hardly hearing from some of them, as predicted.

I don't intend to participate in this game heavily, but I will say a few things before this game spirals out of control. Approaching this as an outsider, you guys are not being terribly hospitable to this Assassinator, so it is not surprising that they are not being nice to you either. Don't take the game so seriously. So what if an Assassinator wins? It's not the end of the world. It's not actually life or death and it's not easy to have fun with a game when everyone is complaining about it. Now, a note for the Assassinator, I don't think you are doing a terrible job, but here's a tip on clue writing: people don't like clues that are too short. If you give a simple one line clue, paired with a cryptic message, the people either figure it out, or they don't, and either way it goes too fast. The best clues are ones where people can immediately figure out the first step, so they get interested in the clue, but then really have to think to bring it all the way to fruition. Also, just for the record, you should only say a clue is hard if it is actually really easy. If you give the people a hard clue and tell them it is hard, they typically give up too easily.

Here's what I glean from this clue initially, I have the same grandparents as... my cousins? Also, there are 50 characters, if you divide them into 5 character long lines, you get cute patterns. Perhaps it uncodes to read a 10 letter word?

When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.
