If anyone was curious about the competition coming out of Ohio, my helicopter flew for 1:52 and got sixth place. I actually got 2:08 in a practice run, but the copter was slightly damaged in the recorded flight. :/ Anyway, Im sorry I dont know the top times, but good luck to all those moving on to nationals.

illusionist: sorry that it do so hot, theres always next year! my hope is to get first in IL next year

The top IL time was 2:12 although i think both the 1st place winner and myself could of done alot better if we hadn't broken or damaged the good ones prior to competition. (i heard new trier lost their best upper rotor in free flight)

Thanks steven.
The ceiling at Michigan was 21 feet tall, and totally flat. It was ideal for copters with a point on top, and many of them just spun in place as if they were glued to the ceiling.

nice! IL was in the armory and a good spot because it was 90 feet tall but gerders everywhere. and since the ceiling was domed if you didnt fly in the center, the gerders were tilted so that getting your helicopter caught was only a matter of time. Im glad mine was balanced so it went more or less straight up so it didnt get caught but i saw a few that unfortunately did. But at 90 feet, a good amount of helicopters didnt hit the roof so thats also a + for not getting stuck
