I heard that Chem Clues for Div C wasn't run properly.
I heard the meteo test was from online and of the wrong topic.
Designer Genes had questions that were weirdly worded, and some were even impossible to answer.

I dont want to discuss anything specific because idk if we are allowed to... but forensics had micrographs of animal hairs under crime busters rules... when I asked if all the micrographs were following the forensics guidelines, they just said yes, although it was clearly not. (on top of that, the suspect info lined up with the correct crime busters ID)

Are they ever run well? It's not really New Jersey without a few mis-proctored events, some tests stolen from online, and terribly worded tests, after all.

Water Quality had many questions that asked exactly the same thing, but with a slightly different format.
Game On had broken microphones (I guess I should have brought my own, but that's still bad preparation on the ES's part).
Fossils had a way too easy test(around 2 minutes extra per station)

I would put that more on the site director for your State competition than the ES.

The circuit lab test at New Jersey States this year was really good. The ES was nice, and answered many questions. He also removed 3 questions that were division C level. Also, the lab section was very good, and was at a perfect difficulty level. The test was a little on the easy side, but there were some challenging topics. Most of the topics and concepts were addressed in the test. The test was easily the best circuit lab test I have ever taken. Thanks to the ES!

The Anatomy test was pretty reasonable in my opinion. First time I took the test in a stations format. Just right in terms of difficulty and length.

Forensics was very reasonable as well. I was surprised how there wasn't many lab tests required: just chromatography, blood, and powders. I am used to having to perform some sort of burn test for fibers. Overall, it was a well written test and I enjoyed it.

Designer Genes was a bit odd. Questions were either too easy, weirdly worded, or both. I recall a few not having a possible answer. It wasn't long, but it was weird. I wanted to split up the test to speed things up, but we weren't allowed to for some reason.

Overall, States was a good experience for me. Designer was weird... but there's always that one weird test XD.

As a grad who still likes to be nosy once in a while, are we all still waiting for the full results, the state website seems not to have been updated yet? I thought they only took a while to release results in 2017 because they were controversial but I guess...?

Maybe Div. C was extremely close? They're probably checking results though
