Who exactly is "they"?

Also, has anyone checked first letters or anything of that sort? Any other obvious ID hints?

Maybe instead of creating separate ID clues, the sassy hid hints to stuff about himself/herself within the kill clues

Kill clues, and maybe how the people are killed?

A few thoughts:

1. Someone should compile a list of all the movie references and see if there's a connection/pattern (if I have the time later, I'll do it)

2. It might be significant that Sassy bolded 13 and put an exclamation point-I did try every 13th letter of that part of the text but maybe the first part of the clue- the language seems odd.

3. The way texas lost their officer spot seemed a little suspicious...

That's what I thought too!
Agreed. All I did was accuse someone- once. Why did I lose my spot for one accusation?

Since you are out of accusations, you will no longer be allowed to accuse or protect anyone. However, since you have not been killed, you will still be allowed to assist the remaining officers.
Why was I out of accusations? I only used one.

EDIT: I read the rules. It says that each officer starts out with one accusation and will gain one with each protect. I had no correct protects, so I only had one accusation. The rules also say that an officer loses their spot if they have run out of accusations. Hence, by using my one and only accusation, I lost my spot. Nothing suspicious about that. However, I think that rule is unfair. Maybe they should alter it and say that if an officer has used 2+ accusations, they will lose their spot.

Ditto that the rules should be fixed for next round. I think the rule was put in place to stop officers from guessing too much - one guess shouldn't knock them out of being an officer.

That aside, perhaps you should look at things involving the number 13 such as every 13th post on this thread or someone posting at a time equivalent to 13 o'clock military time or something like that. I've never been very good at solving clues though... :/

I agree that one accusation is not enough. Maybe, if the Sassy really likes that rule, the officers could start out with more than 1 accusation (then 1 wrong accusation without any correct protects won't result in losing an officer).
The 13th post was by Random Human. I don't have time right now to look at the 13th letter of each Sassy post, but the first 3 were la3 (excluding spaces and apostrophes).

So I did a little research, and I didn't find much, but I suppose I'll post what I did.

I took every 13th letter of the weird part of Sassy's last post, and I got ITS TSREJAHELI. I did anagrams and Caesar with it, and the only interesting things I found were "dcbotkrovs" (although I think there's only one other person active here that does robotics events in the DC area) and "hail jester" (but idk if we even know who the sassy in 105 was).

A list of the references I found (if I missed something, someone can correct me)
Wizard of Oz
Into the Woods
Pokemon
Barbie-Toy Story 2???
Ratatouille
The part with the fatherly buddy and the weapon seemed like it could have been referencing something
Star Wars
Toy Story 2
Hamilton
