My coach always liked to talk about how Solon had Science Olympiad classes (which I guess is a myth?)Unome wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 3:55 pmAh, the eternal rumorvehicleguy wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 12:03 pm I always heard rumors that teams have science olympiad electives, where they have a whole class period to sit and work with their team. (For those curious, Troy is not one of them.)Unome wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 3:55 pmAh, the eternal rumorvehicleguy wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 12:03 pm I always heard rumors that teams have science olympiad electives, where they have a whole class period to sit and work with their team. From what I've seen, 6th is usually purple, but then there are also the somewhat weird States ribbons.CPScienceDude wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 2:13 pm1-3 should always be the same, but I’ve seen variation from 4-8. For instance, im pretty sure 1st 2nd and 3rd are always blue, red and white
However, I've recieved a green 5th place medal and also a yellow 5th place medal. Is there a color code that most people stick with?

I know of some teams with SciOly as a class, but generally you need the students to be dedicated to SciOly anyway to convince them to take it as a class.PM2017 wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 4:30 pmThere's 2 teams I actually know of that have scioly electives. Re: Your Daily Random Comment
If I recall correctly, our 6th place ribbons are pink. But other than that, it seems like its pretty standard. The other thing is that 1-3 medals are usually the same pairings of color and fake metal (blue + gold, red + silver, white + bronze).
