Yeah. I won't have much time with my 7 events to hang out, but for me being busy is more fun. I think they are calling for a few showers on friday, but who knows.
That's too bad, the weather has been so nice in past years. This might the perfect image of the Juniata campus on competition day that is ingrained in my mind.
Oh, well states will be fun as it always is.

havenbreadfish wrote:Well, after Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina have their state competitions this weekend we'll be right with Texas as the only states still to go. What do you guys think about the particularly late PA states this year?
It's been this late before; I think the last time it was on May 2 was actually my seventh grade year (six years ago, yes I'm old). I'm actually somewhat used to it being this late, but it's sure not fun having AP tests right around the corner too...
And heheh, I'll come to the meetup if there are familiar faces there; I'm already socially awkward enough
without being in the situation of talking to people I don't know (as EAST, hmcginny, and Jdogg can probably all attest to) :P

Ouch. Park Forest isn't even in the top 10 and SCAHS had 4 votes.

Just prove all of those voters wrong.

I can only prove Park Forest(we WILL place in the top 10.).

I agree. I put Park Forest 8th, and even that felt a little bit low. I guess people aren't as familiar with you guys as some other teams, but it's very surprising to me that you're out of the top 10, and especially that you're behind Wilmington. But yeah, the best thing you can do is to use all of that as motivation.

What do you think about Springhouse's chances? I'm part of their team and just wanted to know your predictions for us. Its only our second year, so you may not have that much data on us, but I would still love to know your thoughts. Thanks!

Just a quick reminder to everyone about the rules for the poll, now that there's 3 days left until states:
- If there is a duplicate (i.e. two slots have the same team) I will replace the latter with the next team in the list, but keep the overall entry. If three or more slots have the same team, I will discard the entry.
- Please no joke entries. This applies more to C than B, since B is very hard to predict this year, but if I feel you submitted an entry as a joke (this will take a lot, I will try to be very liberal with allowing entries) I will discard it.
I have had this happen a couple times where a team was voted for 3 times in the same ballot (one time the person voted the same team 10 times). If that happens I have to remove it, because then it becomes impossible for me to tell who you actually wanted to vote for, or if you meant it as a joke. With 2 I will usually give benefit of the doubt, but once you hit 3 then I have to remove it. If you are not sure if this applies to you or not and want to make sure that your entry got submitted correctly, just PM me or submit a second one, and I will work things out from there.
Hope everyone is busy preparing their final touches, should be a great competition on Friday!

I don't know if this was directed at anyone in particular, but I'll answer

. You definitely crushed at Regionals with a score of 46, which leads me to believe you'll probably place in the trophy range.
But this year, like EastStroudsburg said, B division will be very unpredictable. There are a ton of teams vying for that 2nd place spot for Nationals (Bala, Strath Haven, Allen, Springhouse, Wyoming Area, Hershey)...I can't imagine Shady Side not getting 1st, though.
