Look through the last couple posts. High seems to be about 600mv right now.

Though remember that not all fans rotate at the same rate, so some MVs will be higher than others.

Have you tried it with a resistor yet?

we have, and I think we get around 500-600, though I don't remember how many ohms the resistor was.

Has anyone tried small blades? I know many people are saying you want a large amount of surface area, but last year (I know there was no resistor), smaller blades seem to work better. I'm assuming that on 5 ohms of resistance, a small blade can produce more than enough power. If you've tried it, could you please post your findings?

All I'm going to say is that you are not considering momentum. p = kg · m/s

Smaller blades, as in shorter, are not really better, but I found that skinnier, fewer, and lighter blades definitely work better than more blade. I started off with four blades, and though increasing blades would be an improvement, but in the end the four blade model was still the best, because of the issue of air turbulence. There was some team at competition that had somewhere between 20 and 24 blades...it really didn't go well, because of all the turbulence in the wake of blades.

more momentum would help you with generating power threw the resistance....

Are you guys using large blades (surface area - wise)? We've been using relatively smaller, longer blades, but we haven't tried 4 yet. I guess the situation calls for more blades than last year, due to the load.
