Re: Solar System B
Moons are relatively simple, most of them (especially the gas giants moons) are unique, so it's easy to ID them.

has many good pics of moons, try to remember most of the major ones.

Re: Solar System B
maybe next year. haha.
I don't recall any satellites being on my tests at regionals, I'm not sure about states and my partner made me do some practice tests and they were all satellites.
anyway I have to now study DSOs/galaxies/whatever is in astro next year. fun

Re: Solar System B
So Solar System is staying an event for next year. Will we study the same thing, or will it change like what happens with Meteorology?
Just trying to get a head start on next year.

Re: Solar System B
I'm rather certain the rules will change, maybe they'll incorporate reach concepts into solar. Something like that. Or add missions to certain planets, maybe satellites, etc etc.
But reviewing your notes and studying a little more about the characteristics of each planet is probably a good way to start off.
oh yeah, and the satellites of each planet.

Re: Solar System B
I'm thinking it'll probably stay the same, maybe add on a little new stuff (famous astronomers, past models of the solar system, NASA missions, famous comets?).
I'll work on getting *all* my notes onto the wiki, which is going to take a while (read: half of eternity) because they're pretty disorganized. In the meantime, if anyone wants a copy of the whole 40 or so pages, feel free to PM me.
Edit: Uhh...it's actually 50 or so pages. Yikes.
Edit 2: Um, ok, that's weird. After formatting and other stuff, it's down to 26 pages.
