Re: Environmental Chem
That last part bothers me. Typeface puts everyone on an even footing, but handwritten notes give an advantage to those who can legibly write very small. I'm not sure that skill is really what we should be testing.2win wrote:Because if you type them, the print comes out smaller and still readable and you can cram on like a million notes and bits of info.Phenylethylamine wrote:You have to handwrite the notes sheets for nearly every event. The ones that have binders, you can use printed notes, but the ones that are just one or two sheets, you have to handwrite. Nobody really knows why they make us do this.
ex.one page of typed notes = 2 or 3 pages of handwritten notes depending on how small your handwriting is.

Re: Environmental Chem
I feel like I'm playing corrupt the wish, but...
If you type, you can pick a font of like 8 and still read it. Mind that you each get a sheet of notes front and back.

You can fit more on the computer, unless you are like someone on my team...

Re: Environmental Chem
And even though you should be able to fit everything, it's not like it's impossible to memorize 3 or 4 things.

Re: Environmental Chem
If the issue is that the typeface could be smaller and still legible, then all they have to do is decrease the amount of paper you get... one sheet instead of two, or only one side instead of both. It would put the teams on a more even footing, given that, like Flavorflav said, having it be handwritten notes really just tests how small you can write legibly.

Re: Environmental Chem
I don't think the size matters as much as people think, because you can set really small margins.

Re: Environmental Chem
Well, the notes have to be handwritten anyway, so the point is moot.
