I think they switch every 2 years. At least that's what I've heard so far....

Actually, I believe that they switch as infrequently as possible. C States was at West Point forever, until construction forced us out - we are supposed to go back next year. B used to be at New Paltz, but there were some problems there so it went up to Rochester. Nobody liked that so they got back into New Paltz, but problems recurred and it went to Ulster. Now it is at Syracuse, but I hear that everything is not entirely wine and roses there, so B may move again next year.

Lower Hudson Valley regionals are this Saturday. Scarsdale and South Orangetown are probably going to dominate, but I hope we can make it to states. ;)

The top five go from each region, I thought. .-. It's like that for my region too. We got 7th last year... 9 place off making it to the states. >.>

From the school's handbook, it looks rectangular in overall shape and...octagonal in floor size? The ceiling height is ~26-30 feet

It's been a while since I've been in Div B so i don't remember if it was standardized there, but for C at least it's all based on number of teams in the region (including a bonus rule that I haven't memorized but lets an extra team qualify for States if the same teams take the top spots again) ,and I'd assume it was the same for B. Western Long Island, for example, had 74 teams so the Top 8 qualified (and since there were 2 B teams in there, the Top 10 made it in the end).

Oh, that makes sense. We had 28 teams last time, and the top 5 made it to states, I think. Let me double-check.
Hmm... States results from 2012 show only four teams from our region. How strange. John Jay MS got fifth, but they aren't listed. I guess the top four, then? .-.
