Re: Texas 2009
LASA is going to be staying two nights in college station at a rather cheap hotel (i think the rooms were $68 a night or something close to that).
i don't necessarily see how UIL and scio are mutually exclusive, in fact some of the UIL competitions would be good practice for scio eg the soil judging competition would be very useful for environmental chemistry.
however, even if clements is tied up a bunch of non scio related UIL stuff, there is bound to be a team or two that is going to step up and give LASA a run for its money.

anything that happens happens.
anything that, in happening causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen.
anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again.
it doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though.

Re: Texas 2009
there are a couple of people on my team that do UIL...only one is going to the next level
and this year they are for my school...the UIL competitions coincided with our regional and another is at the same time as state

There's this Trial event at State, and its called Thinking Globally, Acting Locally. And we're still stuck on a couple things. so I was wondering if anyone else had figured it out yet.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Omg... State in a week! >.< So many good teams too! How many people are to the point where they're stressing out so much and can't even focus on studying? That's what I feel like right now. I'd type some stuff for notes, then bang my head (against a soft surface). I think the only thought keeping me somewhat sane right now is we get to miss a day of school...
As for Thinking Globally... I'm not doing it, but it might help if you specify the problems.

Hi. I have a messed up sleep cycle. Thank you, scioly.
