Random change in topic: does anyone know what's going on at the ARC after the Awards Ceremony?

The schedule allots a full hour for each time slot, instead of the normal 50 minutes. Does this mean that you'll have an extra 10 minutes to take the test?

I don't believe that's how it works. You can just leave early and go grab some smoothie king. But seriously, that's what happened at Illinois state...you could just leave when u were done.

In New York, the States time slots are an hour; the extra ten minutes are sort of put in as time to get from one building to another. At Nationals, they factor in an extra fifteen minutes between time slots for getting from building to building, so it's kind of like insurance- in case an event runs overtime, or you have to run all the way from one end of campus to the other.

Think of the extra ten/fifteen minutes as a passing period. A lot of people have events back-to-back and they can't instantly appear at one event right after another. So be sure you get done within 50 minutes, or else they'll take your test as is.

anyone know why they are only giving 1-3 medals for trial events. Didn't they give 1-6 last year? it just sounds a tad cheap.

Yeah, I'm ending up going from one end of the campus to the other between periods several times. None of my events are adjunct in both space in time! XD I might bring my roller blades if I can find them :D

I dunno about trial events, I guess they just don't really give that much thought to them. Oh well It was the same in PA; trials were only 1-3 and the regular events were 1-5.

Same thing happened to me at state. Best method of transportation I saw? Those old scooters, you know, the skateboards with handlebars. I'm thinking of bringing some to state next year.

Information for this year has not been posted on SONT 2010 site yet. I'd expect you'll find it in the News and Media section when the info is ready.
I have heard from my coach who asked one of the Nats People that there will be live video of the Opening and Closing ceremonies
