You have to handwrite the notes sheets for nearly every event. The ones that have binders, you can use printed notes, but the ones that are just one or two sheets, you have to handwrite. Nobody really knows why they make us do this.

Because if you type them, the print comes out smaller and still readable and you can cram on like a million notes and bits of info.
ex.one page of typed notes = 2 or 3 pages of handwritten notes depending on how small your handwriting is.
