Umm... There's always stress when it comes to any major competition.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean? If something is easy does it mean you shouldn't try? Are you expecting to get first in all of your events? I'm not really sure why you'd say this. Sure, states and nationals and even some invitationals are better competition then regionals, but there are still a number of good teams in our region. (Bala Cynwyd, Welsh Valley, Strath Haven, and Unami.)
My SHMS Team Results:
2007
Regionals- 3rd
States- 5th

2008

2009
Regionals- 2nd

2010
Regionals- 1st
States- 2nd

Our region is okay, I guess, with Whitehall, Fleetwood, Exeter, Emmaus, and Wilson. I can't say that it's the toughest region, though.

compared 2 solon(the invites we went 2), reg. is ridiculously easy. that doesn't mean ull come in 1st, it just means u hav a really good change of medaling + an eccelent chance of going 2 states. the tests are wayyy harder at solon/states/nats. regs, is by far the easiest competition.

personally, reg. isn't about coming in 1st/2cnd, its about going 2 states (which means coming in top10 overall, which isnt that hard since the test are relativeley easy). once u go 2 states, than it reallly matters, cuz nats are involved.

I do mostly agree with that, I guess. It's true that all that regionals does matter is making it to states. After that, anything can happen. However, from my experiences, I have not found regionals tests to be necessarily easier than other competitions. For instance, last year the regionals Road Scholar test was more difficult than the states one. Also, when I have taken practice nationals tests, they are sometimes more difficult, but sometimes they are actually easier than regionals tests.

Our region is also respectable, with Stroudsburg, JT Lambert (where I went :D ), Greater Nanticoke, and Wyoming Area. I can't really say about C, but Athens, Stroudsburg, and Wyoming Area are good.

That might be the reason for the regionals test being harder than the states one. I might just have known everything better for states. Once again, I would not say regionals tests are so much easier than other tests.

In regards to competition in regions, I think that SW and NE are best for B, but SE is clearly best for C.

What about SE for B? I think your region is the most competitive of the 6 in both divisions.
