Maybe you should be. The infinite symbol in your avatar is a lot like a sheet knot, and your from NY, C division. So like previous posts, NYC. Also your avatar is Portal right? And those portals are like plasma balls... I'm not sure about the Ireland part.

One thing is that this clue could deal with a geographic location that deals with Ireland, sheet knots (or other knots), and plasma globes (This is based on the usage of the words "melting pot"). The other option is that these are base 36 numbers (the lowest base that includes all of the letters) that when added together spell out a word.

I'm a bit nervous. I'm part Irish, and if you frequent the Anatomy forums you'll find that my last post was about my cheat sheet. I don't get the plasma globe thing, though.
