Ok, how close to the 2 grams are you guys getting. 1.999 or 1.85 type thing?

The scale we used was the one from my chemistry kit. Handheld. Only goes to the tens place. :lol:

Nope, I bought a .01 scale for around $15. I think I've posted about it before (or kjhsscioly has, we have almost the same scale except for the max. weight it can measure).
That chem lab scale is beast, though... our enriched chem used .01 scales, though they're probably hiding away better ones like that for the AP chem kids :lol:

The AP kids don't get any better scales, and the lab scales really aren't much good... they take forever to turn on or tare

Haha yeah they're pretty cool (with little enclosure so air current doesn't change results). Where did you get your .01 scale? What's the brand/name? I kinda need a scale that I can use outside of the chem lab...

There are quite a couple for around $20 on amazon that go up to 100g.
And I do wish I had one of those super precise scales, although the little enclosure would not be big enough to hold sticks of balsa. :(
