No. The system is staying as is. This system has worked perfectly and smoothly for 55 games, and it will remain the same.
There are countless problems with calling dibs on next game's spots. Not gonna happen.

Plus, what else are you going to do during the summer other than wait for a spot in the next game? Besides, you know, summer homework, etc.

How long it's taken for all the officer spots to be filled:
Round- Time
45- 3m (we have no life)
46- 6m (still have no life)
47- 1h 23m
48- 14m
49- 23m
50- 1h 5m
51- 39m
52- 7m
53- 4h 53m (it was during school hours, though)
54- 8m
55- 1h 12m

However, thank you. So we can predict that the officer spots can fill up in ~10 minutes, possibly less.
