Re: Protein Modeling C
Hey guys, I finished my protein model for regionals but I have trouble trying to find ideas for "creative additions" to it. Does anyone know any good resources to get ideas for such additions? One person on this forum mentioned papers to look at but I have trouble finding them.

Hi everyone,
Where can I get access to the practice tests, such as the MIT one, or the Princeton one someone mentioned beforehand? Thanks!

Re: Protein Modeling C
How much more complex should my prebuild model be for states compared to the one I used for regionals?

Re: Protein Modeling C
Try to improve your pre-build by a lot. The rubrics used for states are supposed to be more nitpicky than the ones for regionals, so make sure your model is detailed enough to hit all the points. Start by nailing down your secondary structures, perfecting the sizes of the helices and beta sheets, as well as the spaces between adjacent loops and strands. Your creative additions should be properly oriented as well, and make sure they are actually relevant to the protein's function.Blank25 wrote:How much more complex should my prebuild model be for states compared to the one I used for regionals?

Re: Protein Modeling C
Will I get points off if the model is not exactly 2 cm per amino acid? I couldn't find a long enough toober so I made it 1.5 cm per amino acid.
