When it comes out and when it's final are two different things. That said, state hasn't been this late for 5+ years, so I don't know how that will affect things (basically wait for rfscoach to give a better response).blueice wrote:Anyone know when state schedule comes out?

Re: Georgia 2016
@Unome how do you make the time and how are you so dedicated to SO?
I want to motivate myself to do better and you (medaling 1st in everything) are my role model

That was only that one time, and now people seem to be holding me to it...blueice wrote:@Unome how do you make the time and how are you so dedicated to SO?

Anyway, basically I do all of my studying for school while in school, so I can focus most of my time at home for SO (also a note; make sure whatever you're studying is actually the best use of your time).
Also, since you're the only person here that went (presumably) do you have any results from your Regional?

Re: Georgia 2016
Div B schedule is being made by State Director and Tournament Director Kelly Price. It is supposed to be ready, sent to coaches and posted on Website tonight. I don't really expect to see it that soon though. Realistically, Wednesday maybe, Friday probably.Unome wrote:When it comes out and when it's final are two different things. Div C at Emory historically has been run by Mike McCormick of the Chemistry department. He, or one of his Emory SO minions would be making that schedule and sending it to Div C head coaches/ having Kelly price post it to the website. Since there is more than a month between the last regional and the Div C state tournament, it is likely that the Div C schedule will not be released until after March 5. I would suggest looking at a few of his old schedules to get an idea of how much they change each year. Mike's old Emory SO webpage no longer exists, so you all will have to rely your coaches keeping a file of old schedules.....

Inside sources have told me:blueice wrote:Coach doesn't share results with us :/
Thanks rfscoach!
1. UNG did not email score sheets so all anybody has is the paper copies.
2. I do not have point totals yet but:
1st - Brookwood
2nd - Walton (by 11 points over Northveiw)
3rd - Northview
One Northview B team build event was scored as A team build event. - assuming that was the only major scoring mistake it really should be Northview in 2nd place by 3 points.
3. Ms. Tucker certainly shares the results with your team. If you missed the awards at UNG or team meetings where they were shared, you could try asking her or your 3 captains to see them.

Re: Georgia 2016
So apparently Wheeler won their regionals at SPSU (nooo my prediction was wrong!
)
Also, here are my (progressively more random as the year goes by) predictions for this week's regionals!
South Cobb: 1) Kittredge Magnet 2) Campbell 3) Webb Bridge 4) Griffin. The top two here I picked because they're perennial qualifiers (with Kittredge ahead because they tend to do better at state). The other two... well, they're basically just guesses.
Georgia State: 1) River Trail 2) Trickum 3) Chamblee 4) Dickerson 5) Sweetwater. Having placed in the top 5 for the last two years, River Trail is an easy pick for first. Trickum has been climbing recently, and placed 8th at state last year, although that could of course change rapidly. Chamblee and Dickerson both used to compete at UNG Gainesville when I was there, and Sweetwater placed 5th below Rising Starr at regionals last year, so that's how I picked them.
South Georgia College: 1) Valwood. With seven teams here, it's a stretch to think that more than 1 team will qualify, so I picked the only one that I know anything about (Valwood's Div C team qualified for state last year).
Northgate: 1) JC Booth 2) Five Forks 3) Rising Starr. Here's where I start making random guesses! Sure, Booth missed a year, but there's a chance that they're still strong; after all, they'll still have their 6th graders and possibly some 7th graders from 2014. Five Forks qualified last year, but as far as I know they didn't really beat anyone of note (unless you count Galloway); however, Rising Starr has been on a rapid downward trend for the last four years, so I put Five Forks ahead.
Georgia Perimeter College: 1) Chattahoochee 2) Duluth 3) Chamblee Charter 4) Columbus. Maybe I have a bit of bias, but to me Chattahoochee is the clear frontrunner. I picked Duluth for second because of their 4th place at Brookwood. Chamblee Charter and Columbus are perennial state qualifiers, although it was tough to choose one over the other.
Georgia Tech: 1) Milton 2) Lambert 3) Fayette County. Maybe this isn't as clear-cut as GPC, but Milton is still substantially ahead of everyone else. Lambert was 11th at Brookwood, so I put them second. I could have picked Fayette County or Rockdale for third, so... I just sort of flipped a coin
