I'm sorry to hear that it's over. I bet your life will feel empty now. Maybe you could convince your high school to start SO. It might work because I bet there are other kids that miss SO.

yeah i might try to start one at the HS but i dont know if it will work out.
We were 4 points behind 2nd but i dont know how many behind first. We got like 2 golds and 3 bronzes in the first 5 events they listed and the team that always gets 1st got like mostly 3rd and 4th places in those so my heart was pounding and i kept thinking "ok maybe we might win!!!" after that though, they started getting more golds.

We have 54 division B teams, so there are medals for 1-8. Division C (23 teams) medal 1-6. I think one of the reasons there are so many medals are because of the fact that our region usually contains the majority of teams in the top 10 at states.

Well there's always a few teams that are national caliber: the ones that go to nats.

Hmm that does seem like a lot. Most I've seen is 6 at NY states, and I believe they do that at Nats, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, Nats gives medals for 1-6.

[Now that WM is going to Nats, you need to dredge that info back up from the 'Gelinas' part of your brain, gneiss xD]
