MWA HAHAHA
but i might not do solar system. it might be a popular event. like anatomy. or crime busters.
and it might get overlapped by dynamic or sounds, and i love them both.

Do you guys know when the forums/wiki will be updated to reflect the 2014 events? I noticed today that the soinc.org site had been updated with them (although the event pages are somewhat lacking as of now).

Don't they usually release draft rules for the events which don't really differ all that much from the official rules? I've been gone for awhile so I probably missed it if someone on Scioly linked to the draft rules, but I don't see it on here.ScienceOlympian wrote:When the official rules are released.hexagonaria wrote:Do you guys know when the forums/wiki will be updated to reflect the 2014 events? No, we don't generally release draft rules. Copies do sometimes end up circulating around because some coaches get them at the summer institute, but we really discourage that.

When do other schools receive a Pdf of likely rules for each event? Why aren't they posted for everyone to review?hc1220 wrote:Official rules are released late in the year, but last year, Solon had a PDF file of likely rules for each event, as well as other schools. How trustworthy do you think these rules are?

Re: Science Olympiad 2013-2014
I was under the impression that when the coaches register and pay the fee, SO Inc. sends them a hard copy of the rules. If Solon or anyone else had rules before you got them, they were probably leftovers from previous years. They probably are about the same, but I still wouldn't trust anything except what your coach gives you. You never know when they higher-ups are going to change a length parameter or heighten restrictions on notes or something like that.inthewoods wrote:When do other schools receive a Pdf of likely rules for each event? Past rules are still reliable to some degree for study events, except when the topics are different
I don't think Integumentary & Immune have ever been done before for Anatomy. This will be one interesting year

I didn't even know what "integumentary" meant until I saw it on the event list and looked it up. They should really just call it the skin system. Darn biologists, making everything difficult..Crazy Puny Man wrote:Past rules are still reliable to some degree for study events, except when the topics are different![]()
