Will/Did you make it to nationals?

My WIDI partner is like my brain twin. At invites, I didn't finish two steps, but could only write down awkward phrases for them, like "cup up" and "sticker down center" and we got FIRST for that. We were both shocked.

I always get very detailed but somehow finish about 15 minutes early consistently.

We aren't brain twins at all. That wouldn't work for either of us, even if you switched up who was building or writing. Both of us require VERY detailed instructions to get anything done... But wow, Teal. ESP much?

Gosh, I wish it was! It's either we kill WIDI, or we bomb it completely. Fortunately, we kill it more often.
I have detailed descriptions too, but I can never finish 15 minutes ahead of time. (15 minutes? That means you finish in like 5 minutes! How ...? xP)

Haha. I guess I just write fast. At regionals I just sat around and read my description for the remaining 15 mins. I couldn't think of anything to add... Everyone was just staring at me when I handed in my sheet 12 minutes early (after reading it for 3 minutes). If only my partner hadn't dropped it . . . another gold medal would have been mine.

Lucky. I write extremely awkwardly - "Put the pink toothpick, held horizontally, onto the top of the marshmallow, the top which is the rounded tip, and leave about one centimeter exposed, on the top of the marshmallow, and make sure it's leaning northeast."

Huh, I'm really bad at spacial stuff. o__e But simple building things I can easily grasp.

The team from the super-expensive private school right down from us went to Nats. Randolph. They kinda didn't do so well though... 47th place = FAIL. My state needs to work harder. I know I would be studying my butt off if I went to Nats. (Well, I already am studying my butt off, but I'd study even more in that case)

Curse Strath Haven. Shadyside lost to them by a single point. Deprived us of the opportunity to go to Nationals. This year is the year that we will beat them and BalaKynwyd, or something along the lines of that, and get 3RD at Nationals .....................sorry

Hey, I'm assuming you're from Shady Side! I'm a 10th grader who was on the BCMS team last year. First of all, it's BALA CYNWYD. Please get it right. And secondly, I've been visiting the BC team once in a while. They are in a pretty weak state now, since a lot of their team members have been doing less-than-stellar jobs when it comes to effort. You probably know this because of their recent invitationals. So if you're going to make your comeback, this would be a great year to battle it out with Strath Haven between 1st and 2nd. But that's not guaranteed at all at this point, not only because of all the other 30+ teams that make it to states, because the only thing that BC lacks is motivation. There are tons of smart people on that team with a lot of potential, but honestly a lot of them just don't fully understand what they need to do for the team. But when they see posts like yours (and I am sure they will, since I am about to send it to them all), that's really one of the best forms of motivation they can get. I wish you and your team, which never ceases to amaze the rest of Pennsylvania, good luck in the next short couple of months!

HINT to BC people reading this: get off of minecraft and try to even make it to states, for god's sake!

And another thing: I can tell you with certainty that although my team and Strath Haven's might have felt a little bad for you guys last year, you're not getting anywhere by antagonizing us into people who "deprived" you of going to nationals. What, did you already make reservations? This is a competition! Expect it to get competitive. It's no wrongdoing of ours if we beat you! That's what revenge is for! If you think you should have beaten us, then get to it! You're already a lot more motivated than SOME people I know, so you have a lot going for you!
