Stability, and yes.

It does but it’s better than the parachute wanting to collapse or if it’s drifting away quickly.

Hey

So I have three questions.

1) Does anyone have tips to increase the drag on the parachute? I’ve been dropping just the parachute with a ping pong attached from my second floor and it seems to drop fairly quick (using 16 shroud lines)

2) I was thinking that I should cut the bottom ridged part of the liter bottle and put a pointed cone in the place of it to hold the ball. Has anyone tried this?

3) Does anyone have an affordable option for a pressure launcher? The ones they use at competition are like 110.

Thanks

The liter bottle is your pressure vessel.

1. You are not allowed to cut it, or otherwise damage it in any way. That's a safety rule.

2. You probably wouldn't stick together something that would hold pressure anyway, so it wouldn't work.

Oh yeah you’re right. Do you have any suggestions then on how to hold the ping pong on the rocket?

Thanks

There's no reason you shouldn't try your pointed cone idea without damaging the liter bottle - build a cone, tape it to the liter bottle, and see how you go.

Someone prob already asked this but does the tube design have to satisfy the nose cone being blunt rule?
If so how do we make it to fit the rule?

thx

I just mark where on the ping pong I want to attach the string then I just tape it on individually.
