Why don't they have any science knowledge based spontaneous events for next year? I remember Fast Facts was really fun and Science Quiz Bowl is a pretty good event. I see how there could be a lot of problems with it, but if it was just a test, it would still be a really good event. I might be a little biased here since I was okay at Fast Facts last year ( 8th at Rustin, 3rd at Garnet, 5th at Islip, 1st at states, and 24 at nats(oof)). I also might be biased towards these types events because I love them and I happen to be okay at science bowl ( 1st at Islip Last year, 3rd at Cornell this year.) But they should still have these events, because they really require you to expand your knowledge of science.

Do they ever change it that much? Or could I start compiling information now through summer?
It'll change, similar to Herp, but it won't change significantly. I suggest working on getting a solid background of the information, but obviously don't make your whole binder just yet.
How much changed for the list, percentage wise?

1 or 2 events may change between now and rules release. It's extremely unlikely for any event to change after SOSI in mid-July.

No, for ornithology list.

I'd estimate ~10% changes, that's usually the typical amount.

I thought we weren’t allowed to show people the SOSI schedule.

Someone told me that a school could get banned/dq’ed by showing the schedule.

That's sort of unlikely since it's on the soinc.org website (the tentative one is at least)
