Though I do find it interesting that Atlanta International is bringing 2 teams and Davidson Fine Arts only has 1. Usually, it has been the other way around: Atlanta International with 1 and Davidson with multiple. Would you like some popcorn, Unome?
So why Effingham County and not South Effingham? South Effingham has won first in their region for the last 5 years (although they didn't have to compete against Lakeside), and has done well at State (9th last year).
Edit: I found out that Richmond Hill got 5th at East Georgia College. I can't find anything else for this year, but hopefully we will find out when the regional director posts the awards video to youtube (as he has done for the last three years).

Middle Georgia State Results (teams in bold qualify for state):
1) GSMST Blue (56)
2) GSMST Silver (88)
3) Parkview B (114)
4) North Springs A (120)
5) Parkview A (121)
6) Paideia (144)
7) Woodland (153)
8) Appling County (187)
9) Wilcox County (189)
10) North Springs B (222)
Looks to me like GSMST has recovered from their 7th place at Brookwood. Also, it seems a bit weird that Parkview split their teams for Regional.

GSMST may or may not have recovered. At regionals they did not have to compete against anyone who beat them or was even close to them at Brookwood....

Basically what rfscoach said.
Also, do you have results from UNG Dahlonega? Currently I can't find them online (and it would be nice to know who qualified for state).

Predictions for this weekend's Regionals (from which we will hopefully hear some results

).
Columbus State: 1) Flat Rock 2) Blackmon Road. There are many good teams in this ridiculously small region (the two I picked plus Arnold Magnet, Bennett's Mill, and Flint River Academy), but these two seem to me like the most likely to make it (Flat Rock ahead because of last year's 6th at state).
Oconee River GYSTC: 1) Vickery Creek 2) Eagles Home Educators 3) Lakeside (the other one). If anyone other than Vickery Creek wins I would greatly surprised; they've led the rest of the pack by so much and barely trailed behind FSA/Dodgen at invites. Eagles regularly makes it to state, and probably will again, although homeschool teams can be unpredictable (e.g. ExCEL '08-'09). As for picking Lakeside... they have two teams
Gordon State College: 1) Northgate 2) East Coweta. Northgate did well at invititationals, placing just below Parkview at Brookwood, so they'll probably win. East Coweta will likely also qualify, but Starr's Mill could beat them.
KSU-Poly: 1) Woodward Academy 2) Wheeler 3) Kennesaw Mountain 4) West Forsyth. Wheeler beat Woodward Academy at state last year, but I weight the regional results (where Woodward Academy won) more; both teams had about half of their placements in the lower half at State, which if they were ranked could easily have flipped the ranking. Kennesaw Mountain made it to state ahead of West Forsyth, so the same should happen again; however, it also seems possible that they could be top 2. (Honestly most of my predictions for this region are borderline guessing).
UGA: 1) Johns Creek 2) McIntosh. Now this is easy! These two will both likely place in the top 10 at state, but I'm predicting Johns Creek ahead despite the pedigree against them because McIntosh hasn't been to any invites and Johns Creek placed 5th at Brookwood.
These are getting a bit long...
