I think she was referring to the sample document for what a student's transfer list documentation would look like. That has yet to be posted it seems :(

Yes, that is what I'm looking for. it was supposed to be posted to the soinc site...so we may bring it in with competition. It's in the Rules.

Do you guys think that (mechanically) turning on a sealed flashlight should count as mech -> EMS because of the black box rule? how about a store-bought solar car being powered by light being counted as EMS -> mech?

I think the rule for "directly" transferring from one type to another rules out that interpretation for both. Especially since there's no black box rule actually written in the rules.
