Will Ornithology be a binder event?
In the previous rules competitors seem to have been allowed a published field guide. However, given the other events in the rotation and how it's switching in for Herp, can it be safely assumed that it will be a binder event?

I'm not an official source, but odds are it'll be a binder event.Kenshi Takahashi wrote:Will Ornithology be a binder event?

OK, thanks! For the trial event, was the list much different from the 2011 Bird List?dchen22 wrote:Ornithology this year as a trial event was a binder event.Kenshi Takahashi wrote:Will Ornithology be a binder event?

Do they ever change it that much? Or could I start compiling information now through summer?LiteralRhinoceros wrote:https://www.soinc.org/sites/default/fil ... rdList.pdf The 2019 list can be found on the soinc website.

Great, thanks for the link to the list! Thinking of starting over the summer...hopefully it doesn't conflict with my other events or I'll have worked over summer for nothing haha

It'll change, similar to Herp, but it won't change significantly. I suggest working on getting a solid background of the information, but obviously don't make your whole binder just yet.RobertYL wrote:Do they ever change it that much?
