Re: Reach For The Stars
As for the classification thing, I would think the most you would have to know are:
Ia- Bright Supergiants
Ib- "Normal" Supergiant
II- Bright Giant
III- "Normal" Giant
IV- Sub-Giants
V- Main Sequence
VII- White Dwarf

Re: Reach For The Stars
ahhhhh!!!!
mucho scared-oh. everyone sounds reallly good at this. My partner is pretty knowlegeable about stars, and i kinda slacked off and wasn't really interested at first, but then i found that it actually could be interesting, but i still, like, know nothing. and at our regionals the whole identifying constellations part pretty much looked like bread crumbs. We got 4th, no thanks to me. The only thing i knew anything about was clusters. *gasp* so, any suggestions about studying and memorizing constellations? thanks!

Flashcards, Flashcards, and Oh I think I forgot to mention flashcards. They're the tried and true method of memorization, gotta learn to love themFuzzy Mint wrote:ahhhhh!!!!mucho scared-oh. everyone sounds reallly good at this. Right ascension: 5 h
Declination: −65°
Tucana:
Right ascension: 0 h
Declination: −65°
Mensa:
Right ascension: 4 ~ 7.5 h
Declination: −71 ~ −85.5°
That what you wanted?

Re: Reach For The Stars
They are both in the southern hemisphere, closer to the south celestial pole. Both Tucana and Mensa are right near teh pole, while Dorado is a littel farther away from the pole. I think, but I'm almost positiverahiscool wrote:Hi everyone, i am xompeting at state a JV in the B division. i am doing the event reach for the stars and would like to konw where exactly is the placement of the constellations of tucana, dorado and mensa. if anyone has a clue plz post a reply
