2. Which cranial nerve pairs issue from the pontine nuclei?
1. The pontine nuclei are neurons lying in the basilar pons. It receives input from the corticopontine fibers of the primary motor cortex, and outputs into the contralateral cerebellum through the middle cerebellar peduncle.

I'm assuming ventricles of the heart?
The ventricle is one of two large chambers of the heart that collect and expel blood received from an atrium towards the peripheral beds within the body and lungs.
Let me know if that is what you were asking. Sorry!

Sorry, I mean ventricles of the brain. (Cardiovascular System isn't a topic this year :D, but nervous system is).

Yeah that's what I realized.
The region choroid plexus in each ventricle has ependymal cells involved in the production of cerebrospinal fluid.

The optic chiasm is where the fibers of the optic nerve partially decussate, specifically the medial fibers of each retina. This allows the left hemisphere of the brain to control the right part of both eyes, and the right hemisphere to control the left part of both eyes. This aids in binocular vision.
