Hi friends, I wrote a simple Invasive Species ID Game here: https://invasives2.herokuapp.com. Some features are still in development (accepting common names as answers, etc), and let me know if you find any bugs (lol) ! If you find it useful and want to give a few cents or dollars there's a donation link in the instructions (I'm trying to get a new laptop).

I'm not trying to criticize your game, it's a great idea, but if you hold enter, you can infinitely get answers right . Thank you for making the game though!

So I memorized all of the scientific names of all the things on the list last year right down to spelling.. and I'm wondering of graders would take off points for spelling the scientific names incorrectly? Anyone who made tests or know of someone who made an invasives or taxonomy test who would take points off for spelling scientific names incorrectly?

With scientific name, I have the official state list with common and scientific names on the front of my binder so I don't have to memorize any.

Yeah I have it too, but I memorized them to make it faster.

I've been on numerous sources to find the average and maximum weight and size for the Black Carp (one of the Asian carps), and all the sources have differing answers. Does anybody know what it is or how I can find a reliable source for it? Thank you in advance

The problem I have with finding a "reliable source" is that you don't know which source the supervisor is going to get their info from. Use the weight that shows up most often when searching

If anything have the range like Jaol said. But in all honesty if the question has such varied answers: 1) the chance it shows up on a test is unlikely and 2) most teams will then likely get the question wrong.

I'm really confused about bird flu, because is it always specific to H5N5, or can proctors test on other strains? H5N1 seems to be much more common, so I'm having trouble finding websites that discuss H5N5 in detail. Does anyone have any good sources? Thanks!
