Events 2016-2017

For anything Science Olympiad-related that might not fall under a specific event or competition.

With shorter rotations, you'll see more variety as a competitor. A student in Science Olympiad for three years is guaranteed to see both Rocks and Minerals as well as Fossils when they are on two-year rotations. Not suggesting this is the reason for the adjustment, but it sure supports the change.

Your reason seems the most reasonable to me, thank you for the suggestion. I was just extremely ticked since I've been expecting and preparing for a three year fossils commitment when it was introduced in 2015, but now I guess I'll just have to wait two years. Thanks again!

This entire thread is making me sad. I have stuck my foot in the water for Division D, but it's not the same...

Try starting some tournaments, that should give you some stuff to do! (plus more tournaments=better).

What are grads even supposed to do after graduation without scioly???

Try to be good lab assistants, put out decent undergrad research, host poorly run tournaments, and coach Div A, B, or C, but mostly feel bad.
