how on earth can you do 8 whole events? on our team everybody has 2 to 5 events (the higher score you got in tryouts, the more events you have) so i have 5 events; last year i had two. does your team have less people? (we have 15, no alternates)robotman09 wrote:when i was a sixth grader i did 6 events and than 8 as a 7th grader
ah, that makes sense. i've only been to regionals, so i didn't really know that...EASTstroudsburg13 wrote:Well, you could do different events at different levels. If you base things this way I had 7 events last year!
That's really not cool. That's like the play director who always cast her son as the lead, whether he deserved it or not. He became one of the most hated kids in school. Her twin daughters actually asked not to have the lead, because they wanted to have friends. They still got substantial parts though.slrichardson wrote:So I talked to my teacher AND.... she basically told me I can't do science olympiad becuase HER SONis in all my events- even though I beat him in some events. Are you kidding me?! Is she even allowed to do that? I think that if you can prove that you are the best at those events (with test scores) and she still doesn't let you compete, you should go straight to the principal. Doesn't he have to do something about it?slrichardson wrote:So I talked to my teacher AND.... she basically told me I can't do science olympiad becuase HER SONis in all my events- even though I beat him in some events. the coach can usually do whatever they want, and why would the principle be involved in SO?denmarksoccer wrote:Are you kidding me?! Is she even allowed to do that? Well, why not? The principal could probably do something to right the situation. I still suggest to also tell your parents.rocketman1555 wrote:the coach can usually do whatever they want, and why would the principle be involved in SO?denmarksoccer wrote:Are you kidding me?!
