And I thought that kellenberg was bad. At least we get half cycle study halls in 12th grade.

Word in my region is that Fayetteville-Manlius, NY, has a Science Olympiad class that you have to take to be on the team, as well as payed coaches. I can't speak to the truth of that, but they have gone to nationals for years and years, so a class definitely appears to have done them well.
I'm from the same region, and we would love to have a block devoted to SO to give us a better chance of competing with schools like FM.

Wow, paid coaches. Are the coaches teachers at the school or did the school hire them from somewhere else?

That's pretty intense there. They must really want to do well.

That should be illegal, unless by paid, they mean given bonuses based on how the team does at science Olympiad.

I heard that fm builders have to do pushups so they can saw stuff more efficiently, they are a good team, but i think thats just going too far.

I really doubt that's true because nowadays we have something we call power tools.

I heard that the FM "students" are really retired Soviet scientists with facelifts and Botox.

I hear that Einstein didn't really die, he got the first face transplant and now competes in Science Olympiad for F-M.
