In trajectory, your 'score' is measured in how many cenimeters the ball landed away form the target. If the ball hits the target, you get a score of 0. When submitting a score, you see two boxes [_____] out of [_____]. The first box is your score, the second is the best (in most cases, highest) score. In trajectory, the best score is 0, so thats why there are some 0/0 scores.

if you hit the target for trajectory, you get a score of 0, so that's why I put 0/0.

So does the same rule apply to Write It Do It?

And why do you put your best score, if for entering information it asks "out of"?

Not necessarily the best scores, but the scores you get at competitions. If you have a large enough sample of data, you can see that in a certain year, the highest score in this event at this level of competition was this, the average was this, the low was this, etc. That way, you can see what a decent score is and what you need to shoot for to do well. For example, when I first did boom 2 years ago, I had no idea what a good score was. Now with this, I could have gone here and seen that people get around 1000 efficiency, so that is what I will shoot for.

I can tell that this score board will be confusing at first, but I believe that later on it will work smoothly. I'm glad to see that this actually happened and that an idea wasn't just thrown in and not taken into account. Props to Aia for coming up to the idea and tehkubix for making it happen.

Maybe could we possibly add a "place" section. If you want to put in your place as well, it could act as a marker like "ok they got a 90 out of 100 and got 3rd place" it could be a good guide marker for difficulty possibly.

Yeah, I saw someone put on like a 4 out of 19 and I suspected it was place.

Could we maybe add a spot for what state you're in? That way you can know what people around you are getting, and not get intimidated by somebody that will probably be at nats.

Now that there is a lot on the test exchange, could you (tehkubix) add a posibility for a practice test?
Strath Haven MS:
2008: Regionals-3, States-5
2009: Regionals-2, States-4
2010: Regionals-1, States-2, Nationals-19 :)
2011 (Co-captain): Regionals-1, States-1, Nationals-11 :D

Nationals: Aquifers-37, Compute This-13, Dynamic Planet-25, Ecology-6, Experimental Design-7, Junkyard-33

Moving to C...

Thanks for the feedback guys!

If there is something for a place, it would be kinda useless without knowing where the score came from (555 on bridge got us 3rd place at Sac (North CA) regional) but that may not even get you top 10 in some other place (just made that up :P). So those two would go together.

I'm not quite sure what gyourkoshaven means about the practice test thing. My understanding is that you want a link next to each event that links to tests for it? You can get all the tests http://scioly.org/wiki/2009_Test_Exchange so If I were to do something like that, I'd probably just link to the wiki anyway. Please explain what you mean if my understanding inst right.
