Tamarix Gallica, "salt cedar", Flowers in Winter, Brought over from the middle-east, Effects southwestern United States, applying herbicide to the stump of tree. (This is probably way off if it's the wrong organism.)|[/hide]
NOTE: Can you please let me know how to hide responses, I've yet to figure it out.
Nope, you were right The name is misleading, as the picture had flowers, yet it's called Salt Cedar.

Xyleborus, redbay ambrosia beetle, makes no sense as fungi cannot cause infectious agents, laurel wilt, Asia, 2002

Can we keep this limited to the National Invasive Species list? I know the rules say identify regional species, but I don't think any of us want to learn every regional invasive species...

I apologize- I wasn't aware we were going off of a list as of now. And, after reading that question I see how it doesn't make any sense. Thanks for making me aware.
