Was this the only regional or are they all on one day? Seems like it was really close. Were the rest of the scores so close. Can you post the entire grid? Thanks for posting by the way.

To itsnotjustrocks, refer to http://newyorkscioly.org/c-regions for div C (and http://newyorkscioly.org/b-regions for div B). That shows the dates for various regionals. The spreadsheet of scores for most of the regions should be posted there soon after a tourny's respective competition. A lot of regions in NY are also really competitive. Interestingly, the distribution is done quite well for region-splitting. No stats, but off the top of my head I think most regions usually get 1 or 2 of their teams into the top 10 at states. Nassau was actually so large it was actually split! If the whole region was put back together it would certainly be even more competitive.

I guess just for those who were curious, Nassau East Results (in parallel with BroNi!):
*Disclaimer: Any numbers here (outside the scores, which I have a picture of) are from my very fast counting that may be wrong, but the scoresheets as said should be posted soon enough
20 events (I think dropping 2 events?)
44 teams, 22 schools
1) Syosset A (50 pts, 8 1st places)
2) Wantagh A (99 pts, 2 1st places)
3) Wheatley (140 pts)
4) Syosset B (155 pts)
5) Hicksville A (164 pts)
6) Division Ave A (168 pts)
7) Bellmore JFK A (190 pts)
8) Jericho (223 pts)
9) Syosset C (232 pts)
10) Hicksville B (232 pts)

Don't want to mis-bold which are going to states just in case, but I think that should tell it all. Good job Syo and to everyone else!

Last note is just from the invites and the coming regs scores clearly states will be competitive as ever! So to itsnotjustrocks, from stuff like this you can imagine just how competitive states is in NY.

If you thought that everyone was presenting their whole region that isn't quite it (except Adirondack?).

From what I quickly searched up, it's somewhat in the middle. Last year it had 26. But:
-Mid-State had 29
-ELI had 46
-Nassau East had 47 (two didn't show up'?)
-Nassau West had 33
-NYC had 51
-Mid-Hudson had 30
-Capitol I felt also had a fair amount, but I couldn't find the old score sheet quickly (so not bothering). Southern Tier an Adirondack were relatively smaller? Could be wrong on some of this.

Sometimes interesting to see! Of course, that's counting multiple schools for every region, but I do think LI + NYC combined are an extremely large chunk of teams.

ELI results are up: http://newyorkscioly.org/node/164. I believe this year there were 49 teams from 27 schools. If I am not mistaken, MidWest is usually the tenth largest of the 12 New York regions, just behind Mid-Hudson Valley and just ahead of Southern Tier.

Do all regionals post the grid? It is helpful to see it.

I believe most regionals post the grid, one of them (southern tier?) never posted them in the past. I think Nassau West results are up too? I don't think you're from NY, so I don't know why it's really important to know now. Either way, you'll get to see enough of them soon, and if not you can wait for states results, which is fast approaching.
