wait but i thought he only has 2 medals so far..
I think you forgot to mention that Georgia (the country) and Russia are currently on the brink of war. Georgia is using the Olympics as an opening to attack a rebellious area with many Russian citizens. Russia has used this as an excuse to start bombing Georgia and now it is quickly escalating towards all out war.eathousemd wrote:Ok...the August current event...
MICHAEL PHELPS OWNS!!! hahahahahaha. Go USA.
No, um Michael Phelps is on his rode to be the greatest Olympian of all time. He's already got 8 medals as of today, and only needs 2 more to beat the record. He just won the 4x100m relay . I'm a Phelps Phan...haha
its the third day of the olympics, and michael phelps has won 2 golds for the 2 events that he has competed in, thats really good, but he does have 8 medals for both olympics i thinkPleiades wrote:wait but i thought he only has 2 medals so far..

The Modern Olympics were meant to be apolitical and to be a venue for pure athletic competition. All these boycotts and political protests are destroying the true purpose of Olympic competition.rocketman1555 wrote: thats stupid, aren't the olympics supposed to stop stuff like this from happening, at least for 2 weeks
They are actually quite good. In the three appearances of Russia (post break up) they have accrued 17 boxing medals (http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/BIO/NOC/RUS.shtml)eathousemd wrote:That's what boxing's for, for countries to sort out their differences in a competitive yet healthy way. I've never heard of a Russian Boxer though. haha.
Yes, Georgia is at the Olympics this year. They won bronze in women's 10m air rifle (http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/I ... 0000.shtml), an event which Russia took the silver.rocketman1555 wrote:and it seems like russia is going to fight, did georgia go to the games? i don't remember seeing them at the opening ceremony
