there really isn't that many good sites for ecology because the event has such broad range of topics. well, none that ive found anyways. i' think textbooks work best, even middle school textbooks will work for regionals and states(for divison b at least).

The first website on the soinc ecology site is actually incredibly good. It pretty much gives information on everything you have to know but the biomes (which I sort of ignore anyways) and alternative energy. If you learn everything on it and how to apply it well, you'll do fine at every competition you'll go to.

here is a site if you have textbooks, it gives additional notes, outlines, and practice

http://academic.cengage.com/cengage/sea ... results.do

all you do is type in the book title, or subject, on some it gives you more stuff than others

I LOVE cacti. I'm soooo psyched for the Ecology event because of deserts. My friend Pleiades convinced me to do this event, because she can't do it all! She's doing like 1000 events. No joke. It's a good thing she can run around the college campus during Div.B State competition. Did I mention I like cacti!?
GO GALVIN MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!!!
my 08 events:
Anatomy - 2nd place
Amphibians and Reptiles - 2nd place
Food Science - 5th place
these were fun.
09 events: blown off due to the tenor saxophone. I love to play the saxophone!

I've never really liked the biome part of this event. I'm never sure what they're going to do with it...I mean I got a few desert geology questions this year. But in the biomes...

Forest ecology is great...succession, fires, forests types, and distinguishing between the different types and different adaptations in each is just fun. Desert ecology is also decent, has a lot of topics. Never liked doing the water topics at all, I prefer to stick to terrestrial.

I've looked for grassland ecology information and there aren't many sites on it and, from looking so far, not many books either. I'll probably find some good stuff when the season starts though.
