That's what I thought... Oh well... I'd be an officer but I'm not certain I'll have Internet on a regular basis in the coming week(s)

Since liutony switched from being an informant to being an officer, I'll be the final informant. I was planning on sitting this game out (and try to solve clues) since I am horrible at solving clues, but the Assassinator's post changed my mind (and informant's don't play too big of a role).

And with that, I can finally test all my theories by giving you the first clue.
Over the past few years, I have come up with a time machine. I plan on going back about 1128 years. From there, I will hitch a ride with someone's donkey and we will go to Japan. Yes, it will be slow, but I don't really have much choice. I figure it will take me about 3 years. Scratch that, 3 days. When I get there, I will seek my target. It won't be hard; he is high up on the totem pole. Protect him and I will let him live. If you don't, you will help me prove my theories.

Edit: Assassinator, I am not using my one protect in this post.

Edit 2: How long does each clue last? I couldn't find any mention of that in the rules for this game.

Edit 3: Never mind about edit 2, the story says how long the current clue lasts (and I assume future clues will last 3 days as well).

I am not going to be a officer for reasons I won't disclose right now, but bear in mind that I only made this decision because I had to.

You are correct. Guess you aren't as dumb as you look. Emperors can be considered high on the totem pole. All clues will last 3 days. Emperor Koko was Emperor for 3 years, so it fit well in the story. You all won't be as lucky next time.
In the short amount of time I had, I had already gone back in time. I had found myself a donkey. When we hit the ocean, I commanded it to start donkey paddling out toward Japan. Liutony66 somehow managed to sneak into my time machine and go back with me. He knew I was going to kill someone, so which a homemade bow and arrow shot my donkey so he could no longer swim. I quickly pulled out the arrow for defense latter. I had never been so embarrassed in my life that I had to abandon donkey because of a silly arrow. I knew I couldn't make it the rest of the way by myself. The arrow and the clothes on my back were the only things I had. I started to swim back to shore, when I saw 2 plump ducks next to a couple of docks. Making a beeline over to them, I take my arrow and prepared to make my kill. I could cut up the docks and use it as firewood to cook them. Roast duck sounds pleasant.
Pluck out my target or they will die.
