There was nothing in relation to "conical". Yes, there was a station involving mineral habit.

To add an image use the following: [ img] Insert image URL here [/img]
Just a note, to get it to work, you have to take out the space before the first 'img' bracket.
To hide something use the following: [ hide]Title - What you want people to see|What you want to hide, like, say an image.[/hide]
Once more, take out the space before the first 'hide' bracket, otherwise it won't work.
So if you wanted to hide that image, here's what you would use:

I think it's because goethite is anhydrous, whereas limonite is a hydrate of goethite. Basically, the only difference is that limonite has some H2O and goethite doesn't. Another, more colorful example would be cobalt (II) chloride. The red/pink/purple color is the hydrate, and the blue is anhydrous. It's still the same compound with the exception of the presence of water. I hope this helps a little bit.

just to make conversation, does anyone have any interesting facts they would like to share? To help prepare for that one weird question on the test that seems random and irrelevant.

Geographic features appeared on the Rocks test yesterday at Boyceville. Hadn't studied that yet with my partner so we had no clue what to put down. Even if I have nothing on it yet I'd think other people would find this beneficial to study.
Also, would anyone have a link to information about the rock side of the Bowen's reaction series? I can't seem to find it.
