In the future, you can edit your post to add additional thoughts rather than posting twice. BUT your point of Chicago is good; however, as quizbowl is going to UChicago, whose mascot is the phoenix (bird of fire), I protect him. Quiz, looks like your first few months of college are going to be tough.

Hmm, quizbowl seems like a fairly likely target. Now, do I find another less likely target, or do I protect quizbowl again, because of the randomly negated protect? What do you all think?

I know for sure that the sassy was picked quickly after the last game ended. This means that
- sassy was on IRC or online during the time the last game ended; and/or
- sassy was picked before the previous game ended, ahead of time

It's entirely possible that the second option occurred. I mean, I can't speak for anyone else, but in my opinion the direction of the game was pretty firmly established before it ended. I think I would have done something like that (had a sassy pick on standby) if I were forever.

I don't think it is quark, as [s]he is a relatively infrequently vivting user. I haven't been able to find a target that seems likely, though, so:
I protect quizbowl as well, because I want to ensure that he does not get killed.

Obviously, if quizbowl is the target, kokonilly should get the accusation, I think.
