As Mr. Chalker has said in a previous post (that I'm too lazy to find), most event supervisors WILL NOT ACCEPT a printed e-mail, since it is so easy to fake. This MUST go on the official FAQs since it has been asked several times; that (IMHO) is enough to warrant a FAQ.
Just a minor clarification to this: the national event supervisors are usually the ones who generate the responses to questions submitted to the website. At a minimum they are provided copies of them. You can safely assume that regardless of whether a response was posted as a FAQ, at Nationals the supervisors will abide by it and likely are very aware of it.

And as my brother said above, I will know what we said throughout the year for helicopters and will definitely abide by that.

Thank you for the prompt responses.

Generally my brother (chalker7) posts about helicopter / aviation stuff since he's the national event supervisor for those events. I chime in occasionally though. I'm more active on the physics type events since I'm the national committee chair for those. Regarding meeting us, I'm the older and more handsome one;)

And I'm the less geriatric one with the full head of hair.

So you are the one whose Optics test I get to take

. That is going to be the best part of my day

. Unless I faint due to the heat and fall into the LS

. In which case I think I would be killed by my partner, or walking back to Pennsylvania, so let's hope that doesn't happen.

To both Mr. Chalkers and Mr. Anderson:
Never have I read three posts that made me laugh so hard in my life. Thanks for the laugh; I think I really needed it.

Has there been any consideration of placing a false ceiling just at the height of the rafters the way they did at the Twin Tiers invitationals this year in Athens, PA?

What did they use and how did they attach it? I've thought about it a little, but the ceiling is much higher than at a high school and we simply have less control over the site (it's pretty doubtful the facilities people will let us go up in a cherry picker to attach said false ceiling.)
