Portal.
The bundle it originally came in from Valve was called The Orange Box.
The entire aim of the game is to get Chell (the protagonist) to jump through portals created by a handy portal gun and make your way through levels.
"Still alive" refers to the song playing over the end credits (sung by the passive-aggressive AI you just destroyed in the endgame, which is apparently, still alive).
"quadratic"...not sure where to go from here if it's not in the painfully obvious direction...
x-squared?
Intercepts? zeros?
Equations in general?
I'm not fond of one-word clues.

Oh. (duh)TheGenius wrote:scientist.
In that case, I protect scientist for his relation to quadratic.
I really dont think it will be anyone besides quadratic, de to the stress on the simplicity of this clue.
Maybe the sassy was trying to see how much we would overthink it.

Congratulations, harryk! You can read! And English at that! Your hometown must be so proud! I can picture the banners now: "HARRYK: A MARTYR TO BE REMEMBERED". But, theirs no time to celebrate now! You all have a test to take!

BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]
If the Lady were real, she would not have died 362 years before she was born.

I am so disappointed in all of the officers right now for the sole fact that none of them posted "This was a triumph" when they figured out the qualifying clue.
