And on a different note, would anyone be willing to post the rules for us that haven't had the luck of getting it yet?

Note you can always buy a copy from the soinc.org store if you don't want to wait on your coach.

Re: Helicopter Testing
I built a quick tandem heli today. Winding was tricky and precarious, but it was feasible. I used two separate motorsticks, and two 3/16 rubberbands. Three people would have made it easy, but I was able to get it done with two. It wasn't as bad as I had expected though!

Re: Helicopter Testing
I posted this in the Designs thread, but it was around 7-10 seconds. It was a scrap helicopter, made out of leftovers form last year

Re: Helicopter Testing
Too bad you're only allowed two people :/
That is a pretty shamazing time for a 15-minute scrap helicopter, though, especially with that weight.

Re: Helicopter Testing
it actually wasn't that bad though, chia. If you get a system going, it'll be just as easy as with a co-axial heli

Re: Helicopter Testing
Hmm, we'll see. I may end up with an inexperienced partner this year, and I'll have to teach them how to wind and such before I trust them

Re: Helicopter Testing
My car and engine knowledge is at a minimum. When you say transmission what exactly do you mean?
On a similar note, given last year at state, 2:00 was a very good time (achieving it = medal in most states) where do you think that bar will be now that theres no limitation on motors?
