The cleavage&fractures seem to be different
No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

This is my first year doing Rocks and Minerals; last year was my first year of science olympiad, and I did Ornithology and Fossils to at least some degree of success. It's not easypurplepeopleeater wrote:of course it will take time, and attention to detail

well again, good luck!
i did orno last year, and this is my 3rd year
maybe try grouping the minerals/rocks you think are similar and then find the differences between them
and your right -- its not easy (though in my opinion, sometimes this is easier than trees, but birds were easier than all of these...)
