The rules are the same except C has one more system and usually more information to cover. That was what i was asking, and I thank you for the example and assisstance provided, kokonilly.geekychic13 wrote:wait...this is just for division c, right???![]()
Kokonilly wrote:I'm not sure what you're asking, but you just have to know how each disease affects each level of body organization: the cell itself (is it a genetic problem? a problem with an organelle?), tissue level (how does one cell affect the cells around it?), organ level (for example, having holes in your lungs from emphysema), and the entire body (how it affects other organs; the body is all connected).49ers wrote:with the diseases when it says "on each level from the cell to the whole person" that means that we have to know how the disease starts and what it does to each level, correct?
So for example, multiple sclerosis, at the cellular level, is the loss of the myelin sheath in a nerve cell. This manifests itself with (among other things) muscle spasms, memory loss, and slurred speech.

Is it just me, or is the terminology 'excretory system' very vague and not found in any textbook? Is there a specific reason they didn't just call it the "urinary system", assume exhaling goes with the respiratory system, and ignore sweating?

Re: Anatomy B/C
As far as the rules go, the excretory system is the urinary system, just with a different name.Kokonilly wrote:Is it just me, or is the terminology 'excretory system' very vague and not found in any textbook? That is how it seems. It also seems that they are trying make it sound less... casual I guess.TheGenius wrote:As far as the rules go, the excretory system is the urinary system, just with a different name.Kokonilly wrote:Is it just me, or is the terminology 'excretory system' very vague and not found in any textbook? Re: Anatomy B/C
Exactly how much do we need to label? How much of the stuff do we need to know? I went to our first Anatomy meeting today...what we learned was way harder than anything on the wiki or the test exchange. This really makes me wonder--are we overpreparing or are others underpreparing?

Re: Anatomy B/C
It is likely that you are overpreparing, but I would still keep preparing like you are, especially if you live in a highly competitive region because Anatomy is usually one of the most competitive events.

You actually have anatomy meetings? lucky...foreverphysics wrote:Exactly how much do we need to label? How much of the stuff do we need to know? For labeling, i think if you follow the diagram on the training handout (once soinc releases it) that will be plenty enough but usually it's more complicated than "lung".
It's never bad to over prepare
