If we ignore the question of possible redundancy, there is one problem with posting full results.

1. The wiki doesn't handle gigantic tables very well. We have tried putting full nationals results in before, and the tables are just too big. It's easy enough to upload files to the wiki and put them on the state pages, but I'm not so sure how different that is from just going to the state sites. That being said, it might be possible to have something separate from the wiki with the results in it.

As has been mentioned, the large tables for full state results do not fit well onto state pages. I am referring to the tables which list placings for every event for every team, for every year possible, so that is definitely not going to pleasingly fit on wiki pages. Not all past state results are already online, so they cannot just be linked to. I was also proposing results from regionals and invitationals could be hosted too. Even if the information is available elsewhere, it would be nice to have it all in one database instead of having to search the internet for the information, especially because a lot of the score tables are difficult or impossible to locate. The database would also be a place for people to upload scans of hard copies of score tables from tournaments that may not be available online.

EDIT: A section of the wiki similar to the Test Exchange would probably work for this idea, but not directly on the state pages.

Also, can there be a subforum specifically for trial events? It seems a little cluttered to have both trial events and regular events in each event category, but especially mechanicals.

This is a good idea, but many of the event results are already online and can be linked to from the wiki. Only a few results cannot be accessed online, many of which are invites or regionals, and a database for this would have to hold a lot of results in it. That said, I do think a database would be useful to have for people who are browsing results or want a leg up on FantaSO , especially since past results are harder to find.

How about a wiki page that's just a database of links to event results for as many competitions as possible, organized by state? That way they'd all be in one place and we wouldn't have to trek through state wikis to find results from several years ago.

Edit: I'd be happy to start this if the consensus is we want it.

Personally, I think a google doc for each state or something would be the most effective in keeping the information. However, if not, the tables are better than nothing.
