Is dcode.fr blocked for your school? Here's a screenshot

the one on the extra line doesn't mean anything; sassy embedded an individual picture for each flag person and so it'll show up differently depending on the screensize of your device. this is just how mine turned out
residual cutoff text ew

I protect kg123456789#3863 because the decryption on the pastebin mentioned experiment and disease, 2 of the events that I do.

late sassy moment haha. I'll just slide this in in the meantime
How we got to this clue solution because we're all generally in agreement that's the right protect I think:
- this is semaphore, solve for the ciphertext
- kg123456789 got "AWD9JXV0" from decodingnit with the guy facing front and "godtxppikv" with them backwards
- Piplup7575 got a slightly different answer for front-facing ("awd9jxvk"). Alternating the letters got either AwD9JxVk or aWd9jXvK, plugging them in as a Pastebin backend didn't work for the first but did for the second. which returned this
90 EEX 15 68 53 ME 7 73 LD 53 34 33 E 35 8 19 EL 8 76 E
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... blocks.svg
- LittleMissNyan (that me) replaced each number with element abbreviation that coresponds to that atomic weight and got "Th EEX P Er I ME N Ta LD I Se As E Br O K EL O Os E" (readable text: "the experimental disease broke loose")
- kg123456789 does ExpDes and Disease and is also an officer and so therefore protected themself

definitely going to userscript the Discord thread and stick it on here once the game finishes but in the meantime try to also explain out your reasoning over here please?? Pumptato wants to play the game tooo

Noo it's fine don't go to too much trouble to move it over here-I doubt the forums are as appealing as Discord now :0 I guess there's no point convincing people to come on here-they'll come if they want to :)
Thanks!
(Im too confused to try to figure out any of the clues too haha)

tbh most of these efforts is just me projecting haha. my Discord access situation is screwy and half the time I'm on there I'm really not supposed to so it's just constant FOMO, so I'm trying to alleviate that for anyone else out there- and unironically the sassy games were what eventually drew me into making a scioly.org account and doing all this cool stuff so 😅
If nothing else it makes it easier to centralize all the game history for future people to look through! better than clicking through half a dozen menus to open up the thread

All progress towards identifying the assassinator came to a screeching halt for two weeks because of a plague of food poisoning that swept the North Pole, which was eventually traced back to a bad batch of tuna used in the sushi bar. It seemed the Assassinator had just totally given up on attacking kg123456789 because it’s hard to be sneaky while both elfs are continuously projectile vomiting. Not like tuna was the assasinator’s fish of choice anyway. Oh well.

New clue in ~24 hours. Please be patient.

Despite not eating any of the fishy sushi, jaspattack's week still ended up ruined because of SnowGPT going haywire. It wouldn't coherently respond to any of their inputs, instead returning repeating lines of garbled junk that filled the whole screen. After filtering out the error messages, this was what they were left with:

Code: Select all

646d467362475635494731766457353059576c7549484e786457467a61434277624756686443426a636d6c74634342775a5852686243427a61573572
Eventually they got fed up and headed to the server rooms to see what was wrong. They found that someone had stuffed the SnowGPT server's ports full of dirt-crusted, matted chunks of Grinch fur. While yanking it out, they almost didn't notice the USB drive with "favgpurftrgfgvgpurf" scribbled across the front that came out with it, which they caught and stored for further investigation.

I protect pumptato-cat because the long string of code (switched into hexadecimal and then base 64) was a list of types of origami folds(pleat, squash, valley, etc.) and pumptato-cat does origami.

Solution work:
- LMN figured out the big cipher text converts in hexadecimal to "dmFsbGV5IG1vdW50YWluIHNxdWFzaCBwbGVhdCBjcmltcCBwZXRhbCBzaW5r"
- Piplup figured out that transpates to "valley mountain squash pleat crimp petal sink" in base64
- Piplup also decided the smaller ciphertext (caesar cipher 13) to "snitchesgetstitches" 🤔
- idk what that means but the big result is the names of a bunch of origami folds
- pumptato-cat has posted a lot about origami = protect
- "JC, Skythee, and gz also do it if we want to find other ppl to protect" -shrey
