My main problem with this event is all the information I have to absorb

I've been doing Meteorology since the sixth grade... I hope my partner is good this year. Indiana lets you use binders on ALL study events. O.O

That's interesting. I would think that that would put the teams it sends to nationals at a disadvantage, since they no longer can use binders except for a few events. Still, it would be advantageous to actually learn all of the information and understand it rather than just depend on the binder, since it'll save test-taking time.

LUCKY. I'm in TN and we have to use cheat sheets. We have a normal piece of paper and we can cover both sides with useful info.

Well, it might be harder to be limited to a cheat sheet, but think of it this way: ALL of the teams you compete against are also limited to one piece of paper. Plus, if you happen to make nationals, then you have experience using one sheet, which teams that used a binder don't have. For this reason, I'd prefer to use a cheat sheet over a binder for this event, as long as nobody else can have a binder.

Keep in mind that other events have different amounts of information that you need to know, and so different resource materials are needed. The statement I just made refers primarily to Meteorology.

I like the cheat sheets it really forces you to learn a lot more than binders but without making you memorize every formula or really tiny detail
